DEERS Eco-Club has been evolved with this aim in mind in order to extend non-formal pro-active system of imparting environmental education to all groups of people by involving them in various environmental activities.

DEERS's Eco-Club's Objective:

• To educate people  about their immediate environment and the causes for its deterioration.

• To impart knowledge about the role of different factors in an eco-system, their inter-dependence and their need for survival, through field visits.

• To mobilize youngsters by instilling in them the spirit of scientific enquiry into environmental problems.

• To involve students in environmental preservation efforts, however small these may be.

Eco Club Memberships

DEERS Membership Privileges:

• Each member will get a certificate of participation by DEERS for attending any of its eco workshops, camps, meetings, tours and seminars.

• We provide various opportunities for our members like trekking, hiking, bicycling, mountaineering, rafting, boating, rafting, cruising and night safaris.

• Our members can stay in our Ecohomes at various destinations through out Orissa. 
  Life members can stay for 6 days and 5 nights per year according to their convenience at any one or more ecohomes at various locations of Orissa .They will avail this opportunity eleven years. 
  Associate members can stay for 2 days and 1 night per year at any of our ecohomes for eleven years.

• All our life and associate members will have to renew their memberships each year with a renewal membership fees of Rupees 100/-.

• We arrange various eco workshops, seminars, eco camps for our student members at various eco sites in and around their area. we also give them a certificate of participation. All these student members also can apply for associate or life memberships after they become adult franchise of our country i.e. 18 years.

• We arrange group eco picnics for the interested parties.

• We provide basis for research and development works.

Who can be a Member:
a) Any person not convicted by any court of law and any registered organization may, by application in the prescribed form and subject to fulfillment of such other condition or conditions as may be laid down hereafter or issued separately by the Executive Committee, become an ordinary Member of DEERS.

b) The Executive Committee may recommend at the General Body Meeting the conferring of Honorary Membership to such eminent persons from diverse walks of life and professions that it believes can positively contribute to the furtherance of the goals and objects of the Society. Persons so honored shall be exempted from paying any subscription fees. They shall be eligible to attend all the General Body meetings as observers without the right to vote.

c) A register of members shall be maintained showing:  
    1)Name and address
    2)Date of admission
    3)Date on which a member ceased to be such a member and reason thereof.
